Red Alert 3 blue screen of death?

Hi! So I am on the edge of madness because I have a Mac book pro 2009 and I wanted to play tiberium wars but SOMETIMES when i opened it the "start screen" comes up and then i have the blues screen of death and all but it is really important that this only happens like 1/2 times. so since i was fed up of this error i downloaded RED ALERT 3 and same problem. I am totally able to play games such as modern warfare 2 dragon age and my video cart support the just fine, so please someone HELP MEEE i would really appreciate that
