Lots of people have asked the same thing and the dev's answers have always been kind of vague. I think they just didn't want to spend time and resources implementing it and I doubt they ever will. Origins didn't have this feature either. If you play on the PC you could see if anyone has made a mod for it yet.

Dragon Age 2 New Game Plus?
Is there a reason bioware didnt put a new game plus in? If so where is the site that i can read it for myself.i was hoping for a special gift with the first dlc to put it in but nothing yet and the new dlc is coming around the corner.if you have ny news for me i wanna know. thank youDragon Age 2 New Game Plus?
